Youth Organizations Integration under the DEYR Umbrella
DEYR Umbrella has initiated a structured process to unite and formally register youth organizations across districts under its umbrella framework.
This initiative aims to strengthen coordination, representation, and collective action among youth-led organizations working on community development, peacebuilding, and social empowerment.
The registration process provides youth organizations with an inclusive platform through which they can officially join the DEYR Umbrella, align their mandates, and operate within a shared governance and accountability structure. By doing so, DEYR seeks to reduce fragmentation, duplication of efforts, and isolated interventions that often limit the overall impact of youth initiatives.
One of the core objectives of integrating youth organizations into the DEYR Umbrella is to enhance their institutional capacity and visibility. Member organizations gain access to coordination mechanisms, shared learning opportunities, advocacy platforms, and improved engagement with government institutions, development partners, and humanitarian actors. This collective structure enables youth voices to be represented more effectively in decision-making processes at local and regional levels.
The initiative also promotes unity, cooperation, and mutual support among youth organizations from different districts. Through joint planning, dialogue, and collaboration, the network strengthens social cohesion and fosters a sense of shared responsibility for addressing community challenges.
As part of this process, Himilo Youth Organization is among the registered youth groups that have joined the DEYR Umbrella. Its inclusion reflects DEYR’s commitment to broad-based participation and inclusive youth representation across districts.
Overall, the integration of youth organizations under the DEYR Umbrella is a strategic step toward building a strong, organized, and sustainable youth civil society network capable of contributing meaningfully to governance, peace, and long-term community development.
